The Emperor's New Paradigm!

Don't you just love it when administration learns a new word?

I am a faculty member at a small liberal arts college in Michigan. This Learning Alliance gang has contributed to ruining our college's mission which soon will negatively affect its reputation. The college is no longer a prestigious higher education institution where students, faculty, and staff work together to achieve similar educational goals. The company, working with business-mad administrators, has created a factory-like environment where faculty/ staff are treated like line workers who will be fired as quickly as they were hired. The institution will lose half of its enrollment while these consultants and administrators profits from destroying all academic integrity of the institution. It is shocking that anyone condoned this decision to hire them and implement their advice. It would be more humane and more fitting just to close our institution now and put up a sign, "Attention Ed-mart shoppers, please return your shopping carts to the customer service center where we will take your money in exchange for damaged goods"
