Rumors

Rumor has it that administrative types are continuing to duck the Faculty Senate. Rumor has it that Freedom of Information Requests for budget information are being ducked as well. Rumor has it that our "transparent administration" is anything but transparent.

The Faculty Senate has been corrupted and is an anachronism. Its Executive Committee has served as stooges for the the Upper Administration at least since the two different campus Senates were merged. Rather being in the hands of the faculty and reporting to the Board of Trustees, it has been allowed to be under the President and in his hands.

If for some reason, the Upper Administration can duck the Faculty Senate, it is because faculty did not insist on building a strong Faculty Senate at the merger. So they got what they deserve: The current Faculty Senate is irrelevant and ineffective.
