Driving Careerist Administrators from the University

How's this as a precedent for a furlough plan?  It's the only one that the University really needs.

While we're at it, what's with paying sports coaches hundreds of thousands of dollars, when by Dr. Scarborough's own admission, university athletic programs lose money? If we have to have sports, why not use the same approach to academics: pay a part-timer less than minimum wage to coach? In fact, maybe we could hire administers part-time. Think of all the money we would save. If it's good enough for academics, it's good enough for sports and administration.Let's keep improving the human condition.

Oh well, I don't think having part-time administrators would be cheaper... look at the CAS dean. She is a part-timer paid as a full time dean. Having part-time administrators won't improve UT finances. Having no administrators at all, that would solve the financial problems!

Speaking of UT administrators...

As a further example of Nina's incompetence, take a look at the A&S website.

I have been here at UT as a student for about a year and a half, and in that time, Nina can't even seem to update her own profile. Check it our for yourself... http://www.utoledo.edu/as/about/Dean%27s_Profile.html

Pure laziness, plain and simple. There is no preseason to invest millions in technology and gizmos here at UT when even the dean can't update her own profile page.
