Names

It has been pointed out below that the names of the new deans have not been circulated on the University's web site. They seemed willing to let the Blade publish these but nothing to the rest of us. Shall we start an office pool on how long it takes before we are all actually informed? Or, are they waiting for the judge to decide on the reorg plan?

Dave,

This is just lazy. A story was posted yesterday afternoon on the news page. Posts like this discredit the good work this blog does otherwise.

Thanks for these infos. We'll probably get word in this afternoon's UTUpdate--amid all the junk they post there. This doesn't negate that the general public--most of whom, I'd vuess, don't care--was informed before the people who are really affected by this were. So typical of this administration--for whatever reason! Intentional? Lack of the transparency they'd like us to believe in. Waiting for the ruling? Maybe they think that publicizing this now will sway the judge. Inept / stupid PR people? In any case, this administration is corrupt and/or incompetent; I'd say it needs to go.

Wasn't this story posted yesterday? The Blade story ran today. I don't understand how that means the general public was informed first.

I guess I'm stupid and lazy, too, since I also tried unsuccessfully to find this information after the blog post that said it was out. Or maybe not. Information like this shouldn't be that hard to find--and something like this should be announced anyway, so that we know to look for it. The arrogance and self-righteousness of posters like Anon 9:53 contribute nothing to the blog; rather, they are the ones who "... discredit the good work this blog does otherwise."
