Deja Vu, MF!

Bloggie hears reports of much wild talk these days on campus. We might consider the following quotation, the source of which Bloggie leaves you to guess:

Like most people who have substituted the habit of delusion for reality, they became hysterical whenever the root of their delusion was touched and reacted with a violence that completely belied the openness of mind which they prescribed for others.

Me thinks Bloggie is simply attention seeking, if he has specific examples to share please do, otherwise it is reasonable for someone like me, who has a wide network of colleagues and friends across UT and has no awareness of any wild crazy issues or plans, to call his bluff.

What an aptly chosen quote! So fitting of the Deans of LLSS and CVPA who challenged us to think outside of the box when re-arranging the deck chairs in 2010, but now the idea of restructuring sends them into a panic.

Is this quote posted ironically and to be self-deprocating or are members on this blog oblivious to the irony of this quote being posted in this forum?

Anonymous 6:36 exemplifies the quote. How dare anyone say anything that disturbs the bubble! As to irony? Look in the mirror! Irony, thy name is Anonymous 6:36!

Boggie, You aren't getting ready to give a talk to members of the Ohio County Women's Republican Club in Wheeling, W.Va., are you?

Actually I thought Anonymous 6:36 nailed it perfectly!
