Their jeans may be strangers but their ties are kissing cousins.

On nepotism, power and transparency:

"The ties that bind are the ties that blind."

Those have to be the two worst haircuts in Toledo.

C'mon, nepotism??? That's a word of 8 letters and 4 syllables. Way too difficult for these guys!

President offers to work for free in today's Blade. Finally an offer to be fairly compensated. But he will take his $150,000 bonus for not going away. I wonder if we all chip in if we can pay him the bonus to leave.

To Anon 6:10:

Even if he leaves he'll be replaced by the same BOT. What will we have gained?

Faculty Senate frozen. Faculty Union frozen. Administrators with vision pushed out. Administrators with yes-sir and willingness to accept bonuses kept or added. BOT are complete players in the Jacobs game. Why not officially complain to North Central Accreditation (NCA) Lack of shared governance, lack of institutional integrity? No accreditation means no federal financial aid, no Pell. Pushing for more Pell in exchange for lower qualified inner city first-year students was responsible for the early enrollment growth which has now stalled. UT used to be a place to be proud of, the scrappy junk-yard dog type of spirit. Now it appears from the outside to be a hotbed of bad satire, quirky comic pictures, administrators accepting bonuses (not raises! Wink wink) or just $200,000 salaries at the end of their careers. Anyone can complain to NCA.

Ok
Who does the blog represent? If more faculty/staff are embarrassed by it, you have a problem if you want change in your lifetime. Could you do a roll-call of readers? I ask because I see few other alternatives to change, yet as blog author you must periodically check your sources.
_ Readers who are faculty/staff and want change in administration
_Readers who are faculty/staff and want status quo
_Readers neither faculty/staff who who think Blog is silly.
_Readers neither faculty/staff and want change
Thanks
