Update to the history of the NC process

A minor correction and additions to Mr. H 'n F's history below:

Tuesday, April 29: Council meets. First the old council wraps up business, then the new council elects officers (the new council consists of about 2/3 continuing members, 1/3 new members). The council is dead: long live the council. The new council unanimously passes a resolution affirming the vote of no confidence cast by the old council. That evening, new chair Anderson-Huang sends a message to Provost Haggett giving her the new exec comm roster and the results of the affirmation vote.

Wednesday evening, April 30: Provost Haggett responds (quite cordially) to all exec comm members (including Davis) with a suggestion for meeting on May 9th with Jacobs, herself, and the Dean.

Thursday, May 1: The Past-Chair of Council decides to post the letter to the blog.

Thanks for the update. It was silly of me to forget what was to happen at the Council meeting of the 29th and to apparently assume (it just didn't occur to me) nothing to put in the timeline. Dumb on my part -- but you could have sent an e-mail to those of us who weren't there instead of making us wait until August or September for the minutes. :) Anyway, glad to hear the new Executive Committee is meeting with the Provost.

Of course if you weren't still trying to leverage a meeting it does weaken my defense of the posting of the letter. :(

none-the-less, horns, i appreciate your previous history. this week i am going to update the council web page with a calendar of past and upcoming meeting events. i will put a short description of these meetings on the calendar as they happen, in your style. these descriptions will be vetted by the exec comm. any further commentary or questions from bloggers such as yourself and tully will be welcome. i hope the history becomes a living document. the official council minutes will appear soon.
