UT's Officially Disapproved Information Source and HISTORICAL ARCHIVE. The only source of truth, where Paradox Manifests: Hundreds of thousands of visits. Yet No One Admits to Reading It. Welcome to the "Grey Area" where "Unethical Utterances," i.e., criticisms of administrators, are commonplace. Make U.U. here where genuine civility still reigns, a.k.a., freedom......................... UNIVERSITY OF TOLEDO'S EQUIVALENT TO RADIO FREE EUROPE
Jacobs' arrogance is astonishing
It's the same old, same old at UT
. . . . Either Jacobs is misleading the media or he has misled the Board of Trustees. President Jacobs objected to "the general tone" of the UT-AAUP Newsletter. Many persons on this campus object to the "general tone" of the Jacobs Administration. During his tenure as President, he has introduced an administrative culture of fear and intimidation. . . . A point of logic must be raised here, with all respect to UT AAUP, the conclusions that President Jacobs has (1) misled the media and (2) the Board of Trustees are not mutually exclusive. Both would seem likely given his considerable talent at spinning "visions." |

I wonder if you could bring this to the attention of A&S blog readers:
UMass Amherst chancellor Holub to leave office in one year
http://www.boston.com/Boston/metrodesk/2011/06/umass-amherst-chancellor-holub-leave-office/o3aoOXXz4tpvaxJHjPrVoI/index.html
"UMass Amherst chancellor Robert Holub, whose leadership of the
state’s flagship college reportedly was found wanting by a university
committee, will step down in one year, the University of Massachusetts
said today.
"The Globe reported in May that the evaluation committee -- made up of
trustees, alumni, and faculty – portrayed a leader who struggles to
communicate and build relationships with faculty, legislators, and
trustees."
----
The main question I have is, "Where is UT's committee of trustees,
alumni, and faculty?"
Dear ASCbloggie,
Public opinion demands that "Burn's Roast" be turned into a side-splitting and satirical roast on the A&S Blog.

I recently completed my undergraduate education at UT, and accordingly, my mind is a bowl of mush unable complete this task at this time ... it will be a few months before my brain recovers from the immense amount of BS I experienced at UT. However, I am sure the fertile and creative minds behind the A&S blog can somehow create a wonderful parody of "Burn's Toast". What do you think?

Does any of them even have an idea what "sophistry" is? That's a pretty big word, you know.
Anon 12:08--But not as big as 'sophomoric'! That applies too.
Nor as big as sycophantic, which also applies.
Google "voter suppression bill Ohio" and follow the latest doings of the powers that be in Ohio. Jocobs/UT is just a microcosm of what is happening culturally, politically and economically in Ohio.
Sophisticated is even longer! They probably think that's what they are--but they're so not!
Sophocles! Greek tragedies! Damocles! The sword dangling over UT's faculty, staff, students--its whole future!
It all fits what's happening to quality education here at UT. (Not that the bowtie-wearers would ever know about any of this.)
They should tie all those bowties to the tail of a kite and go fly it!
Superciliousssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssnakes.
Nevermore.
None
the
less.
SG president Matt Rubin sure got a lot of bowties from Larry Burns!
