Snake of the University Address 2011

The abandonment of the formerly seaworthy craft, known as the University of Toledo, had to happen sooner or later. In this case, I agree with the observant Bloggie, that rather than rats clamoring for the hausers, that it is snakes. When our ship started to ply the stinking marshes of the administration of the formerly known as the Medical College of Ohio, we unfortunately brought aboard a number of slithering specimens from the Linnaean Class of Reptilia. Sooner or later the venom would become even too toxic for the elapids that have multiplied on our ship.

I enjoy the snakes--but would like to know the story behind the photos. Does the author actually have his/her own personal snake pit? Was this a random situation which you shot hundreds of photos of? Or is the snake pit a new form of compensation at UT?

The author reports having a personal snake pit which he has observed now for several years. It has eerie parallels to the situation at University of Toledo. 1 the snakes suddenly appeared five years ago, 2. they increase every year in both size and numbers, 3. this year there are more snakes then one could ever imagine existing in a hole of such modest dimensions, 4. they loll about apparently doing nothing except oozing and slithering in piles much like the incessant administrative meetings on the third floor of U hall, 5. they are apparently blotting out all other life forms in their little ecosystem, 6. they do nothing useful to any creatures other than themselves , and 7. they appear to know as much, if not more, about creating a university as do the administrators at UT.

Oh for goodness' snakes, spare us your herpetophobia! Snakes eat vermin.

Imagine what they could do on the 3rd floor of U Hall.
